Iowa / MSU Spread

Iowa opens -5.5 point favorites over Mich St

Not surprising, I thought we would be 5-6 pt favorites. I think KenPom has us winning by 7. With this being a home game and 2 of their starters out, we need to come to play and take care of business tomorrow night.

I thought it would two or three points higher. I think Iowa is a really good value at -5.5, but it will probably be Iowa -6 or higher when the online sites release their lines.

Just about how I see it. We should win. MSU fears Carver. Two of their worst games in Spartan history have occurred at Carver. How abut losing to Lick in his first year, being held to an all time low of 37 points.....Hide your head in the sand embarrassment.....

How can anyone forget Fran's first year beating them by 20 or soi. As mentined before, which I love to do, after the game in the MSU locker room they interviewed a Spartan with his head in his hands, saying: We lost to IOWA, Man......

Yeah, we can take them at Carver.....

I would agree...you think it's just because it's Mich St? Too bad I don't bet Iowa games (unless it's a 9.5 pt spread against Northwestern, free money!)

If Harris has an off night it will get ugly. We need to do whatever we can to shut him down.

He is pretty slick and skillful, but if they are going to call fouls of us when he elbows us going to the basket, a couple of slams to the floor HARD to make him miss the bucket and also make him think. If we are going to be called for ticky-tacky fouls this game, let's make them really count, no basket and opponent on the floor, slow getting up.....

Just my personal opinion, that's how we used to play it when I was a young Lad.....

twenties, get serious, we were using peach baskets nailed to a telephone pole.....

I remember, as a young Lad at St. Cathages elementary school in Philadelphia, after a violent blizzard, we would get all the lads on the block and build a wall all the way across the street, house to house, no cars could use the streets anyway. Then the Punks on the next blocks would try to take the Wall. Iceballs were flying......

Putting the twenties aside for a second, I don't understand why we try to cleanly block a shot, get slammed to the ground and get called for a foul. Put the Thug Punks on the floor, knock the ball out of their hands and slam them so hard, they are very slow to get up, same as they are doing to us.....

That is how BBall is being played in 2014, surprised you haven't noticed it. Some have, I am certain. It always irritates me to receive a soft touch foul while getting knocked to the floor, have the opponent make the basket and go the the foul line....

Perhaps you have been paying attention to the game and have observed this, my dear friend.....

Damn I was just calling you old as a joke.

Damn I was just calling you old as a joke.

No offense, I am just on a sort of roll today, PC and I am a little bit older than the average poster.....

I knew you were kidding, you are one of the good ones around here......

Sometimes I like telling stories about growing up. I was a Wild Child......

Sorry, I was certain that I deleted the drinks bit and did not mean to post that.....

I do apologize for that. I edited it and thought it was gone, sometimes the edit fails.....

No disrespect intended.....

Who cares about the spread! let give them Meesking State a bodyslamming that they'll never forget for 200 centuries! Go Hawks!

Wild Bull McCabe will be pumped up for this one, Atomic....

He could be very important in the scrums under the basket.....

I don't think there is a way to shut down Harris...NBA caliber player. He can have his 20 I don't want anyone else to get going. If we can contain Harris that's great but not at the expense of the rest of the team gaining confidence...IMO.
