First possesion terrible call. How did they call a shot clock violation? He released with 2 on the shot clock, and it hit the rim???
 
If Gatens isn't shooting, then he is a liability.

For Iowa to have a chance, they will have to make shots. Simple as that. There may have been more air balls than made 3 pters in that first half. Not good...Gatens and crew are getting open looks.
 
I think 50% of JV boys and girls could hit the rim on a wide open 3 pter from the top of the key. Marble air-balled it...barely hit glass.
 
McCabe is pretty worthless at the moment. He's not providing anything other than missed shots and turnovers.
 
How can D-1 players shoot so badly? I think every team who plays Iowa should play zone. Outside of Cartwright, nobody else makes a shot.

What am I missing? Cartwright is one of the worst shooters on the team. He is making 26% from 3 point range
 
Could Gatens do what Hoffarber did for MN? I don't think so. REally impressed by the Hoff. Gatens is so one-dimensional these days.

Oh I gotcha. Yeah he was one of the few. Basabe being in foul trouble didn't help and Gatens shot really bad from the field. Need those two guys to be playing at their best. Two most valuable players of Iowa's team. They play well and so do the Hawks
