Iowa just isn't a good football team

Looks like 6-6 or 5-7 at best. I'd prefer 5-7 to avoid forcing non-player students to get stuck in Detroit over Christmas, which I wouldn't force on my worst enemy. ISU is probably a bowl team, but when an Iowa State team plays tougher in the second half of a football game than Iowa, the Iowa coaching staff is either working with zero talent or has utterly failed in their jobs.

Apologies as I had surgery earlier this week and am under the influence of vicodins and was forced to drink beers on top of it in order to be able to watch this game, so my judgment may be skewed here, but we seem to have a deadly combination of no pass rush and a horrible secondary which will make our defense downright hard to watch this season. If I'm mistaken and we have a pass rush or a decent secondary, please forgive me. In addition, the offense looks pretty bad.

The offense is fine, I think. Stanley has played admirably today for his first road game. Made very few mistakes, showed a decent amount of composure. The OL injury issues, however, are a big concern. One dude gets hurt, and Iowa immediately throws four guys into different positions. It just doesn't work. My HUGE concern is an apparently lack of toughness. When you get manhandled by a team that is known for its weakness in the second half, you're just not a tough team and that doesn't get coached up in the middle of a season.

I thought James Butler was going to make a difference. He ain't.
I thought our experienced O-line was going to dominate. They ain't
I thought the D-line was going to be a force. They ain't.
I thought the LBs were some of the best in the county. They ain't.

We still got time to come back. If our d gets owned here, we will be lucky to win five games.

Even if Iowa would miraculously pull this out, the have serious issues on both sides of the ball.

I like the improvement with our passing game.

Running game should be better, and when we had 1st and Goal, from the 5, we should've stretched with Wadley on every down until we scored. Poor playing call there, and you know KOK was biting his tongue, during that stretch.

Iowa Secondary may be worse than 2002.

The Front 7 looked average. Love Epenesa, when he is in the game.

Two wins no losses.
Last week defense looked good. This week -- weak. Last week offense looked bad. This week. Not even BigXII offenses put up that score that often.

Over reaction is certain
Not a good football team is TBD.

No apology required, I have to do the Vicodin beer trip every Saturday during football season, and if things go as planned, my whole fall is skewed.

The offense should continue to improve. Stanley went from 4 turnovers to 0 despite it being a road game in a hostile environment. Wadley is a stud and guys like Easley and Marsette look promising. The struggles on defense were surprising. I'm confident they can correct some of the problems there, and it will help playing B1G offenses that aren't airing it out the entire game.

You're wrong...that's about all that needs to be said...

Wrong.
Fail as a fan poster.
