Iowa jumps from -4.5 to -7 v. PSU

That is a heck of a move right off the bat. Looks like some fairly heavy money came in on the Hawks right away.

I think this is the worst Penn State team since 2004....they are ripe for a beatdown IMO. If we jump on them early and make their young QB win the game they are toast and we'll roll them up

PSU struggled to beat Temple at home and didn't have a td until late in the game. No idea how good Temple is other than they are Temple. They have a true freshman qb playing against a great D on the road. Yeah, they have the "revenge factor" but that only goes so far. Not predicting a blowout by any means but if I had some money to lay down(and I don't) I would take the Hawks -7 in a heartbeat.

Penn State is a good team, not great, but good.

I think people are over looking them. They aren't ISU bad, this will certainly be a game.

i think its doubtful how "good" they are. i thought they'd be better, but they've struggled to run (their MO) against some suspect competition outside of Alabama. this is a game that could turn ugly if Iowa gets an early lead and they're forced to pass.

I had guessed the line would be -7.5.

I have watched parts of 3 PSU games this year. Their defense is good. Their skill guys are good. Bolden is solid if inconsistent as a true freshman. And their offensive line stinks.

I just cannot see them putting up many points on the road against Iowa. Their defense will relatively keep the Hawkeye offense in check, but they'll wear down as the game progresses.

They had the revenge factor last year too. I was at the game and they even had a Revenge video play on the video board before the game started. Pretty sad really.

Another funny story from last year that I always love sharing:

PSU fan: We're going to kill Iowa tonight.
Me: I disagree.
PSU fan: Dude, we're the #5 team in the country.
Me: Last year you were the #3 team in the country when we beat you.
PSU fan: (no response)

I saw it late last nigh on twitter, and was surprised that nobody had mentioned it yet today.

Could be a big factor Saturday night.
