Game ain’t happening. Six coaches with covid and multiple players. Game is in 9 days.
Party’s over fellas. Time to look forward to spring ball.

Its hard to have good practices when half the coaches are in quarantine.

Well shit. Kirk told KCCI taking 5 days off but is confident they will play. He also spoke with the players leadership group and they told him they really want to play. I guess you have more in-site then Kirk. Congrats

Has Iowa gone to the new CDC guidelines that cut the quarantine time back to 7-10 days? If so, there may be a .5% chance we play.

Doesn't feel like it'll happen to me... Should we want to play a game where they have less then a week to prep with coaches being out? Traveling night before. Eh... I mean Players wanna play so as long as that's true and none are opting out and all that I can see bending over backwards to try. I just suspect we'll hear something by this weekend or sooner if it's not happening...
KF and other reporting said the players want to play. I feel sorry for them not to get the Mich game and it will be a bummer if they cant play the bowl as they played really hard and really well. One point away from being in the Big Champ Game, possibly a very late first half Mosbrucker FGoal doink off the upright from beating jNW.
I this these players would have played Georgia with no prep at all playing their normal type of game, who cares, they want to play with their teammates.

In retrospect not playing Michigan may have been fortunate, as it may have made the current covid breakout on the team even worse.
Perhaps. But I think not having an imminent game caused the team to let their guard down a bit; and of course, it allowed them to spend more time around family.

Well, there's a nice cluster of cases in the coaching staff. I don't know about the players though.
