I mean, fine ... but we don't make these kinds of posts on your boards. So, still no.
(I'm happy for all the good teams in this state, and I find it funny that even in Iowa's less-than-brightest time, people still feel obsessed enough to hate.)

Will the day ever come when Iowa will try to buy there way out of mediocrity? You get what you pay for in this life. ISU got lucky in hiring Fred. If they were such rocket scientist then why was their last coach such a failure? Getting back to Iowa.....we are wealthy enough to afford any coach in America and yet we want to play the mid-major game. Why is that?

For some time now ISU has had better luck with their basketball program than we have and yet their football program is dismal. Iowa has the better all around facilities and financial backing in their athletic program. ISU strength has been their basketball program excluding wrestling. Who really cares about wresting on a national level........ not the general public. How ISU generally out perform us in basketball is just unexplainable and it really shouldn't happen.

We should better. Wish now we would have stayed the course with Mr. Davis,but thas 20/20.isu has Hilton Magic. Great BB arena with fanatical support. It would be a hoot to play there. I am envious of their atmosphere and thing won't chnage until Iowa bites bullet and sits students behind the benches.

I used to think the same thing about Mr. Davis-after Raveling's players graduated. Yet, he usually got us in the big dance. Maybe that means his players and Fran's players this year and last are a little better than average. Average players get you into the NIT.

Btw, the talent has steadily improved, overall, each year of the past 5.
5 consecutive years of improvement and season results.
That said, next year could Maybe be a step back unless a few players step up. Until shown otherwise, however, I will give Fran the benefit of the doubt.
