Two games we can look forward to.... from the article...

"Syracuse, Texas, California and Iowa are the four host schools for the 2K Sports Classic benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project to be held at Madison Square Garden in November 2014, the organizers announced Wednesday.
The four schools will play two home games on their respective campuses before meeting at MSG Nov. 20 and 21 for semifinal matchups to be determined. The semifinals and finals will be televised by ESPN.
Syracuse, Texas and Iowa are all projected to be in the NCAA tournament while Cal sits on the bubble heading into this week's Pac-12 tournament.
Syracuse continues its plan on playing games at MSG after leaving the Big East for the ACC. The Orange played St. John's at the Garden this past season."

Nice! Regardless of how we ended the season, being in the top 25 almost all season and all the exposure will not only pay off in recruiting but also in scheduling. It's nice to be getting invited to high quality preseason events. The more tv appearances the better for recruiting.

Love it! Throw in ISU, UNI and the B10/ACC challenge, and Iowa should have a pretty good non-conference SOS next year. And hopefully a few big wins...

I agree, UNI will be a quality opponent next season.

I like this tournament, it may even help with recruiting.

Sounds great! And, if we end up playing Cuse, we can throw up brick after brick against their 2-3 Zone and watch them hit 3 after 3 from the other end. Good times.

Holy ****, next year is next year. This team will be completely different and will more than likely be even better.

Addition by subtraction is sometimes a good thing.

PG - Gesell / Dickerson / Sapp
SG - Oglewinkel / Jok / Ellingson
SF - Uthoff / Jok / Oglewinkel
PF - White /Uhl
C - Woody / Olaseni

That and hopefully Fran can land Atwood. That would make a huge difference, IMO.

If he doesnt get Atwood I still think he uses the last scholly, possibly on a transfer that can play right away.

I can't wait to lose a bunch of close games on a big stage in a very depressing way.

After I saw Atwood's highlight video the other day, I was very surprised by his range. A legit stretch four with great strength. I like.

What is it with some of you? Another 4 getting jammed into the 3?

We have three players that can play the 4 (in order of talent): White, Basabe, McCabe

Of course, those rankings are debatable but my point is that White ?should? be playing the 4 position but in order to get your best two players for those two positions on the court, you move White to the 3....no big deal.

Next year White will move to the 4 - book it.

Uhl is from NJ so he should be pumped! Does it have a bracket? Id like to play Texas with a shot at Cuse in the Final.

I didn't read the article, so it said something about four games, two at MSG. The other two, do the teams pick who they will play? Cuz if they are chosen for us I could see another descent opponent. If Iowa gets to schedule them then we can all assume the level of compitition.
