Iowa in Cyrus's top three

I am cautiously optimistic about getting CK. I think we have a 50-50 chance. I know, I know there are three schools still in on him but I believe one of the other two has no chance.

I don't know. It's tough. It'll probably come down to what kind of contract Auburn offers him. :)

I hear they've offered 4 years, $2.8 mil plus incentives with $600K buyout clause in case he gets cut due to oversigning. I hear 'Bama is currently at 4 yr, $2.4 mil with a $800K buyout, and the Hawks are offering 5 years, $1.5 mil with all money guaranteed.

I'm kidding. Carry on.

Old news, we heard this last week. It just wasn't official yet. I still don't think he'll play against his brother, so Auburn is out. I also don't think he'll compete against his brother for the same tackle position at Alabama, so that school is out. CK wants stability in his coaches and he wants a system that will put him in the NFL. Iowa sands out in both categories. Come on Cyrus make the leap. You know it's the right choice.

Arie K is moving to Guard according to my Bama sources.

I agree with this. Iowa is going to stick out in his mind as being different from the other two. I don't know that we'll get him, but its pretty sweet that we got a shot.

I'm going to have to agree with you guys. I think we still have a real shot at pulling out a surprise. But I'm not going to get my hopes so I don't get disappointed.

Here are some factors why Iowa fans are hopeful.

Same school as Coker (outstanding young man).
Iowa is the only school in common with Cooper, (who he visited with and is listed as brothers on facebook) where they could go to school together.
The recent history of putting OL in the first round (Bulaga and Reiff projected for next years 1st round). BTW I know other school put OL in the NFL draft too.
Coaching stability.

With that being said, I still do not think we are the favorite, but think we have about a 35% chance of him coming to Iowa.
