Iowa/Illinois prediction

As great as we have been playing the last 2 1/2 games, it's hard to figure out how we do here. Normally, we lose on the road in Champaign. But we have Illinois looking really bad and we look pretty good (granted, at home).

As much as I am loving us this year, I see a 64-60 loss. I really hope I am wrong. I can't remember the last time we won there (and I am not in college, I just can't remember it). The road has been tough all year since Minny.

We obviously need Gatens to continue doing damage. And as much crap as Leonard has been getting this year, he is a beast. McCabe/White/Basabe will need to force him to pass it outside. Also, Marble will have to guard Paul and contain him.

Gatens gets 24 but a last second tip in by Brommer wins the game.

Bryce plays his best game of the year.. no TO's 4 assists and stifling D.

Archie also comes off the bench and in less than 2 minutes gets 2 boards, a monster dunk and a block.

Iowa is "subjected" to horrible officiating and all we do as fans over the course of 2 hours is ***** about it along with criticizing 18 to 20 yo amateur "student-athletes" that they can't play.

At the end we all get up and shout out for the Hawkeyes and live another day.

Illinois is ****** off. Iowa fan is dreaming of what can be. Illinois hasn't lost to Iowa Assembly Hall in 13 years and is 14-60 All-Time against the Hawkeyes. Iowa is 2-8 on the road and is a different team when they leave Carver. I really hope I'm wrong but I have visions of ugliness. As much as I want this ride to continue, I just don't see it happening.

I hope I'm wrong but I got a bad feeling about this game. Illinois is due for a win and we're due for a letdown. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going! I'm going to say close game but Gatens wills his way for a Hawkeye victory! 68-67 Gatens with a pull up jumper for the win!
