Iowa pork producers have teamed up with the Illinois pork producers for a friendly competition to benefit those in need during the January 11thbasketball game between the University of Iowa HAWKEYES and the University of Illinois ILLINI.
If the HAWKEYES win the game, Illinois pork will donate $1,000 to the HACAP Food Reservoir (Hawkeye Area Community Action Program) serving east central Iowa. If the ILLINI win, Iowa pork will donate $1,000 to the Eastern Illinois Foodbank.
This friendly competition will benefit those in need and is part of an initiative of pig farmers to give back to their communities!
