Iowa Gets Missouri in Nashville

Won't make a prediction on this, but as someone who live in St Louis, Missouri is very athletic as their roster is structured now. Maybe not quite as physical as Iowa, but definitely more athletic.

Missouri tends to crap their pants in some games as they're not as disciplined as Iowa is.

Passing game can be very good and their QB is as mobile if not more mobile than QB's Iowa faced this year. If he plays he can present a challenge to the Iowa defense.

It will hurt that K Johnson not being available. 100% understand him opting out. But, Missouri is without its top receiver Luther Burden, who declared for the NFL.

Missouri could win by 20 or lose by 20, that's how unpredictable they are as a team.

I'm not sure where Missouri stands on this, but I hope, based on the fact that they were ranked as high as 7th, they're a team disappointed with being in this bowl. You see it a lot where a team is disappointed with being in a certain bowl game and just doesn't perform. For example, FSU last year was mad about being undefeated but being left out of the playoffs and lost by 60. I typically make some of my picks based on this and it gives me a higher percent of correct picks than other toss-up bowls.

Normally, it'd be hard to disagree with your post. But, their Head coach, Eli Drinkwitz, will have them ready. While Missouri may have been disappointed, they were not really in the playoff discussion for the past 2 or 3 weeks.

I think both teams want to be there. Again, Missouri's lack of discipline sometimes gets them in trouble.

Man. This will be brutal here in The Lou. When Iowa beat them last time, Mizzou fans were still hesitant to believe...just in that hopeful...Show Me mode... even though they had a good team. They're starting to become insufferable now because they've been in the SEC for awhile now. And they're not very good. That being said, you're dead on. They could win by 20.

Also, St. Louis hoosiers just loooove Nashville. They are going to turn out for that game. It's only just over 5 hours away.

For the weapons they have, their offense should be better. But defense? If Johnson were playing, different story. Their defense knows how to collapse.

I really know nothing about them. I still have a hard time taking them seriously because they have been so mediocre for so long. It seems like they finally have a guy there that can win. I have no doubt that you are correct in saying that he'll have them ready to go.

I think this is the best we could hope for.
Possibility to win.
Missouri is a top 25 team. Can we beat a top 25 team?

Get your wallets out....
$4,300 for two people + rental car + meals + walk around money in a butthole of a town with more people pissing in the street than Vegas…

Sitting here in Flagstaff watching the sports news. Arizona State fans and players crowing about there all mighty team in beating the clowns.

Maybe they are better than I am giving them credit for, but may be they are just king of the turds of their conference.

Both Mizzou and Iowa have to be disappointed in their bowl game with all the expectations to begin the season. It is what it is.

We are talking about going. Nashville was a good time the last time we were there.
Hope weather cooperates. Nashville is always a good time. It'd be tough not to. It's been kinda yucky here lately been getting some cold 45 degree rain days. It could be 60 and sunny or freezing and nasty for it nothing would surprise me.

Oh but you can save buxx by driving to Cedar Crapids and subjecting yourself to a stinky 9-hour bus ride. (One way)

The choices abound!

I hate Mizzou. They have chickened out playing Iowa twice. Once they straight breached their contract so they could get a win over Arkansas State and puff up their shitty program. Straight up were afraid to play Iowa. Then they pretended to have COVID and refused to play us again 3 years ago.

F those cowards. They won't hit with us. They may be able to run around us. But they won't hit with us. #MissouriFearsTheHawks

I grew up in MO and many of my classmates went to MU. I saw OK beat them to a pulp twice in the 50's. I agree that they chose to duck us twice before. I think that our RB room is strong enough to be fine without our star. We are going to need the Oline to play its' best game ever. If any of them wants to be a pro they had better get on it.
