Iowa Football Parents' Video

I usually hate cheesy stuff like this, but I loved this (and am glad it's not cheesy).

I realize these parents love their sons more than some sports team, but I still love seeing parents from out of state all decked out in Hawkeye gear. I taught 2 former players whose parents were diehard Cyclone fans (one of the dads is about as stubborn of a person as I've ever met), but their sons switched them and they still wear the black and gold!

This was really fun. When I go to Iowa’s away games, my seat is usually fairly close to the parents. Watching our players’ families interact is a blast. At one game I sat next to Nate’s mom and dad. Thanks Rob, for bringing this video to us.

I feel the same way. I still remember being at the Hawk Huddle before the 2010 Orange Bowl game when Adrian Clayborn was emerging. They introduced all the parents at the Huddle and the crowd went nuts when they introduced his Mom. She was overcome with emotion by the support, and certainly proud of her son and all that he accomplished for the Hawks. A buddy and I talked to her shortly after they walked off the stage and she could not stop talking about all the great people she met at the Iowa games and how it was such a good choice for Adrian.
