Interesting with the late start time for the 3rd game. Those Nevada guys and fans are used to being up late gambling so no problem there. It seems the first game on Sept 3rd would likely be much hotter and a better time for a 6:30 to 7 start time.
Ughh, jNW for a homecoming opponent. Fitzy is drooling at the thought of not only upsetting the hawks but also wilting all those mums or whatever the hell flowers they give out at homecoming. The Alumni Band never gives a crap about what is going on because they are blasted by their halftime performance, or maybe they have been dropped for halftime because maybe their performance suffers. Hawk Alumin Band = STanford Band for getting banned or dropped.

Iowa should schedule their homecoming game AT Northwestern. They give the Cats more Fitzies in Evanston than at Kinnick.
Amen... Even if we had an offense worth talking about which we don't this would be a tough matchup for a first game.
It could def be NDSU all over again. SDSU is tough every year.
If Iowa were to win by double digits I'd be more surprised by that than if Iowa were to lose it. Iowa struggles in the first game of the year almost every yr. And a program like that always makes it tough on us. We just aren't good enough on the Oline to bully our way over them and we aren't nearly explosive enough with the playcalling.
