Leads to 5-6 record in last 11 games. Maybe they recover, but I don't see the evidence of it right now.

I failed to see where Marble disappeared in the second half last night. He scored 8 points with sometimes more than one defender on him (and when I say on him I mean literally, physically on him). And usually it seems he is invisible in the first half and goes off in the second. But all the rest of the list looks about right.

I failed to see where Marble disappeared in the second half last night. He scored 8 points with sometimes more than one defender on him (and when I say on him I mean literally, physically on him). And usually it seems he is invisible in the first half and goes off in the second. But all the rest of the list looks about right.

I think you're right. Marble hasn't been the issue. Others not picking up the slack when the opponent tightens up on Marble has been the issue. Scratch No. 2 off my "miserable" list.

The most concerning thing about yesterday, is that Gesell continues to struggle against physical PGs.

He scored 24? Marble was not scoring when we needed him to in the second half. If you score 16 one half then only scoring 8 in the second is gonna seem like disappearing.

While you see it as Marble disappearing, I think MSU took him out of the game and forced the other 4 guys on the court to beat them. Marble was phenominal in the first half last night. The fact is that whether we like it or not, MSU was the better team and minimized his opportunities in the second half.

We got out coached and outplayed by the better team last night.

The fact is that whether we like it or not, MSU was the better team and minimized his opportunities in the second half.

Marble reminds me a little of Carmelo anthony. Similar situation. He is the only guy on the team who can create his own shot and score. He is the hawks best player. period. He forces things at times because he is the only player on the hawks who can truly take someone 1 on 1 off the dribble. I never would have dreamed he would be this type of player after watching him his freshman year. The other guys need to step up.

The dribble drive, create your own shot scenario is overplayed. It's nice that Marble can do it, but it's not the only way to score. This team can't feed the post. Passing around the arc until the shot clock is almost up is what this team has for a half court offense. While there has been some issues with finishing strong at the rim, the bigs have shot fairly well facing up, baby hooks, etc.
in conclusion, I guess I'd just like to see more entry passes to post players.
