Add in the 3rd receiver, Darius Darks, and you've almost got it. Also, Alexander Robinson ran for nearly 1200 yards last season and was damn good. Hampton may turn out to be good...but has not proven to be at that level yet. At Tight End, I'd say its a tossup between Collin Franklin...who is an outstanding receiver...and Reisner, who is more of an all around player. He's a better blocker no doubt though not the receiver that Franklin is...though he's solid at that as well.

Overall, a reasonably fair assessment.

I'm not sure that we can truly assess Reisner's receiving ability yet. He didn't get that many opportunities thanks to Moeaki. But, if you can find it, see the catch he made up at Wisconsin. Sliding out of bounds, fingertip catch just inches off the ground. Terrific catch.

and the one where the ball was thrown behind him and he caught it with one hand and ran it in for a touch down

I think he will be another very solid Iowa tight end with a chance to play in the NFL after next season

A tight end at Iowa going on to play in the NFL? Un heard of! Yeah, I'd say his chances are good. As long as the receivers don't hog it too much.

He'd be in good company. Dallas Clark, Scott Chandler (drafted anyway), Brandon Myers, Soon to be Tony Moeaki.

Don't forget Marv Cook, Zeron Flemister, Jonathan Hayes, Tony Jackson, Erik Jensen, and Scott Slutzker to name a few more.

ISU has what our coaching staff says are some of the best recievers in the big 12. Problem is...our QB was rated by one site as the second worst QB in the COUNTRY!! You guys remember the Iowa game throwing things up for grabs. One surprise is that ISU has 3 on the O-Line in this group. This makes me optimistic.

A couple of those O-Line guys for ISU could be replaced with Iowa guys we just havent seen them play yet

On the other hand, Alvarez may be better than Vandervelde...so you could conceivably have 4 ISU starters on that OL.

Not sure where "Eubanks" came from...brain fart.

Alvarez is not better than Vandervelde. Of course, that being said, Vandervelde needs to be healthy through 2-a-days in order to be sure that he maximizes his chemistry with the rest of the guys on the OL.

Vandervelde had a bit of a tough season in 2009 ... certainly not one of his better seasons. However, a hunk of that was still due to the fact that he missed way too much of the off-season due to his torn pec.

Yes, he has.

I would take almost our entire starting D (Sims at safety)

And I would let Lemaak (sp?) have a spot on our OL. Other than that, I think Iowa is significantly better than ISU in almost all areas.

Just because they haven't played doesn't mean they aren't better than any garbage ISU has. I would be willing to bet we have guys who haven't played a down that are better than some of ISU's average starters.
