I'm loling because Iowa State is #55 on the list.

A lot of ISU fans and other people will say yeah Iowa is a footballs school - but ISU is the basketball powerhouse.


Not really, only if you are 12 years old maybe.

ISU ranked 25.1% of the time
Iowa ranked 29.2% of the time

Last 30 years, From 1986-2016
ISU ranked 21.6% of the time
Iowa ranked 35.4% of the time

yes exactly... I like ISU being good because it helps us.

But the perception that ISU is a better basketball school than us is just such an utter fallacy.

8 teams from the BIG are in the top 25. Only 2 teams from the Little 12. And 1 of them isn't Iowa State.

Iowa is also 24th all time in football (isu is 83rd) and 24th in women's basketball. Not too shabby considering some of the crappy years that we've gone through.

Not bad. Iowa is not a blue blood, but historically a solid program. ISU may have the upper hand recently in hoops, but that's mainly because of Alford/Lick and ISU catching lightning in a bottle for a few years with Hoiberg.

The last 20-25 years have been pretty competitive but we'll see what the next 5 years bring.. I won't be surprised to see the tide turn.

Football - sorry but no comparison there, lol.
