Iowa -15.5 vs Illinois.........

For a team that scores like Iowa...it's a ton of points. We've scored 3, 12, 26, 20, 22, and 23 in the last five games. 15.5 points is a lot.

jeez...get the money on Illinois fast before that line starts to drop! Heck the Hawks were only able to beat Purdue by 6 points at home so why would anybody think they can beat Illinois by more than 2 touchdowns?

Illinois beat Wisconsin by scoring points. Iowa can't beat Wisconsin with a broomstick.

Vegas seems to be begging you to take Illinois. Vegas makes millions off of sucker bets cuz those dudes ain’t dumb.

Didn’t they give Minnesota 3.5 pts vs Iowa?

Iowa can't treat this team as the same ole Illinois. Iowa has talent but they have a mission. I expect Iowa will cover the spread. But expect Illinois to score a TD or three.

That is a lot of points. Much of Illnois' success is they have very good in getting turnovers. They will really tackle the ball rather than the ball carrier. If Iowa doesn't turn the ball over on fumbles and interceptions I could see the 15.5, but awful big if.

Illinois is living off turnovers. Illinois beat Wisconsin, MSU and Purdue and were +2 in TO in each of those games. They beat Rutgers and were +3 in TO. They were +3 in TO and couldn't beat Nebraska, they were +1 in TO vs Minnesota and got blown out. They were +0 in TO vs Michigan and got blown out. They were -1 in TO vs EMC and got beat.

So you are telling me KF gets to coach in a game where ball control and protecting the ball is gonna be important? Yeah, this game is tailored made for KF. I think Iowa protects the ball and covers.

As much as it may irritate me to watch, I view this game the same way I did with NW. Just take care of the ball and let the other team make the mistakes.

The only way this game gets dangerous for Iowa is if they take Illinois lightly and come out with their C game and turn the ball over.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Illinois gain more yards than Iowa and I could see them hitting a few big plays with #9. That kid can play. But I see this as a 10-14 point Iowa win.

Yep, and frankly that is why the NW game didn't bother me at all. It was an easy comfortable win that it never felt like Iowa was in danger of losing at all.

It always confuses me as to why people get so bent out of shape on how a win looks? Well never mind, they have their axe, and that just wanna grind no matter what it seems.

I saw that Illinois is giving up right at 28 pts a game in Big 10 play. I dont know them well enough to know if it is easier to run or pass on them, or as some people said if they go for stripping the ball carrier and just give up a lot of extra yards and drive extending plays. Hard to say.

Iowa's offense has not turned the ball over much.

Does Illinois like to blitz?? Lovie is or was a Tampa 2 defensive guru so I expect them to play straight up on Dee and not blitz often or with lots of players, but maybe an 5th guy once in awhile.

If Iowa's Off line can control the game I see them winning by 10. Iowa's defense could keep Illinois from scoring a lot as that is the stats so I can see 24-14 hawks.
