Indy Will Host First Big Ten Championship in 2011

I would love to see the games played in no certain order in these place:

Lucas Oil (2011)-Indy

Ford Field-Detroit

Soldier Field-Chitown

Lambeau-Green Bay **Personal Fav and one I would attend regardless of teams that participate.

Heinz Field-Pittsburgh

Paul Brown-Cincy

What ever new stadium that they build in Minny for the ViQueens!

What are your favorites?

Don't forget Cleveland's stadium it has the largest capacity i believe.

My favorite would have to be Indy though. I would like Minny to build a new stadium due to proximity.

Agree Lucas field is a great spot, ensures weather doesn't affect the game too much. Best team should win, no excuses.....

Bad choice. Football should be played outside. This is the Big Ten!

I was hoping Lambeau would get the first one.

Last time the Hawks played indoors at the end of the year they did OK. First step, get there. Second step........ Third Step, total annihilation. :)

You know, the dome at Lucas Oil is retractable. I'd be willing to bet they leave it open.
Interesting. The have rules for the NFL in regards to whether the roof stays open.

Facts and Information - Lucas Oil Stadium - go to the bottom.

One of the rules for the NFL is the temperature being below 40 degrees. Now, these rules may not apply here, but I think it would be a guideline. Let's see what the temp is for this game.

Indy is a tier II city, should be held in Chicago.

Soldier Field is a 'tier II' venue with one of the worst fields imaginable.

And Chicago has ****** away any chance to hold worthwhile events such as the Big Ten Championship Game and the World Cup because of it.

Even though Indy has a better playing field, I vote Chicago. That would be a short 4 hour drive to watch the Hawks play in the championship.

I agree with you on the Tier thing. I would like the location of Chicago. Heck, it's the HQ of the B10, anyway.

Unfortunately, Soldier Field is a bit low in terms of seating capacity, and the field is really rough. So, those seem to be disadvantages. Depending on how you look at it, cold weather is either a pro or a con. The professionals play outside in playoff games!
