Indianapolis OL Justin Britt Commits to Iowa on Official Visit

Hawkeyes continue weekend surge and success in Indiana:

Rob, I am pretty sure I remember a down arrow for Britt a while back on the stock report. I think it was due to him receiving some other good offers around that time. Do you have a sense if Iowa just outrecruited that competition, or did those other offers dissolve as classes filled?

Gonna be a beastly OL with him, Fenske, Endres, and Miller in a few years, not to mention Logan Lee's already good blocking ability.

I thought it was a neutral (holding) arrow after he canceled his set commitment date but it may have been a down. It seemed at the time that he was going to push things into the season. I was concerned that would hurt Iowa. Typically it does better with guys earlier in the process.

He’s always liked the Hawkeyes a lot. The coaches did a good job sticking with it.

Looks like the kid made the right choice with Iowa. I don't know of many other schools that would honor the scholarship now.

with the knowledge and techniques now for surgery and rehab I don't think this will be a big deal for an o-linemen. Aslong as everything goes well and he rehabs hard it will be fine for him. Look forward to seeing him in the black and gold

With how well OL recruiting is going, does anything happen with Polasek if the OL doesn't look that good this year?

This is a valid point. Seems to me Reese Morgan is the coach of coaches on that staff. Wasn’t he the coach for most of the 00-early 10’s high draft picks?

It doesn't look like he's ever coached OL or DL prior to coming to Iowa, so I don't know if he could switch with Reese.

I'd keep RM with the DL. KF and BF have enough input in the OL that they should be able to help TP be successful there. If not, that's a problem.
