Apparently they just hired David Kenneys father. Im sure his sons recruitment had nothing to do with this hire.

I will say this, if you hire a coach based on his potential to get a kid that is committed to another school, that is dumb. I hope he's a good coach, cause he may not change his committment anyway. Either way I hope he stays, but yeah this does sound a bit fishy.

Indiana hired him as their quality control person for recruiting (whatever that means). He still may decide he wants to be close to his dad, which is understandable, but I'd be much more concerned if he was a position coach, which is also pretty much what his dad said.

Indiana is not a good football program at the moment... Hopefully he, and his father, recognizes this.

this would be something if it was basketball where one player can change your program but not in football. i think he will be like mattison (i know he was coaching in the pros when his son was in college but his ties to michigan were still deep) and have his son stick with iowa.
