Indiana Goes Down to IPFW

Not sure how you say IU is a young team. Most of their guys played big minutes last season. Overrated team IMO.

Basketball is a funny game. Some nights one team who is obviously less talented is on fire, and the superior team just doesn't have it. It's what makes March Madness so fun.

What I enjoyed was seeing the faces of all the Hoosier fans that made the trip to Fort Wayne. They looked like their puppy died. I guess they thought they were going to go undefeated this season. Now they know what we felt like when we went to UNI and lost.

They played 10 players 3 freshmen and 4 sophomores. Still a pretty young team and one of their best players was ill. My guess is that they had a bad night and are still a good team in spite of their coach.

There are over 30 games in the college basketball regular season. Unless you're a Kentucky or Duke there's a good chance you get upset at least once along the way. This was a bad loss but they happen. I'm not really sure why the OP thinks it's indicative of the conference as a whole.

Let's see how Wisky does in Maui against UNC. I love B1G basketball but just suspect given the talent drain from key graduation losses and some early defections this league may not be as strong as it has been due to inexperience/youth.

Indiana did beat Kansas and that might be our only big win to date. Purdue lost to Nova at home, Wisky at Creighton, MSU to Arizona & Kentucky (big), Indiana to IPFW, us to Seton Hall at home, NW to Notre Dame (good showing but loss). We usually win a few more of these early matchups.

We will see how we do in the ACC challenge.

see the preseason top 25 poll in basketball is just as inaccurate as the preseason top 25 football poll

Looks to me as though the top teams in the Big Ten are down a bit this season, while the bottom tier is a bit better than expected.
