Indiana down big at Purdue

I'm really glad we don't have to play @Purdon't this year. They've occasionally played some decent basketball.

We're going to see one of two things on Tuesday. An Indiana who will try to get back on track with a win over a top-15 team or an Indiana team who is phoning it in and loses by 25. I suspect either a loss/win by less than 5 or a 25+point win.

IND ST. is the mythical state champ this year, Go Sycamores! lol (IA connection of course-Gary Lansing).

PD wins over IN: 82-64.

Keys to PD's win: 55.6% from 3 and beating IN on the boards: 40-36.
Boardwork and Yogi Ferrell have been the IN constants this year. IA and IN are 1-2 in B1G rebounding.
The upcoming IA-IN game does concern me a little because quick scoring PGs and athletic scoring big men are the types that have given us trouble. But if we control the boards and shoot decently, we should be OK offensively. Defensively, it begins and ends with limiting Ferrell for IN.
As said above, IN could roll over or come out desperate Tuesday. It should be interesting.

What a masterpiece from Creen and the boys. If we lost to purdue like that people would be calling for Fran's head already.

I think Crean is only going to be at Indiana for a year or two more. The guy can recruit but holy hell is he a terrible coach.

People act like it is a down year for their talent. Ferrell is really good. Sheehee played more than white for team usa. Vonleh is a first round pic. Etc. Etc. Etc. They have more talent out of high school than we do by far. I believe John m is right. Crean must cost this team a lot more than he does for them. I feel like fran would tear it up with Indiana's roster.

Where did that creepy crean thread go? This would be a great time to bring it back. I will look for it when I get to my cpu

Purdue is not a good team. Indiana played very poorly. That said, I expect a tough game.. Indiana will be hosting a Top 15 team on Tuesday, nationally televised, so I expect the environment to be loud and the Hoosiers to be motivated.

Still, Iowa is the better team and *should* win this game. They will need to come ready to play, though, otherwise it can be an upset. Just ask Michigan and Wisconsin.

Ferrell and Vonleh are good enough just on their own to make a team better 4 and 8 in the conference. No way that team should be that bad.

We'll be ready to play. We've had one game where we didn't look motivated and that was the Omaha game. It's a matter of if we hit jumpshots or not. Will still probably be close even if we don't.

Agreed. Shots weren't falling in the first half today, and it resulted in a 2 point halftime deficit. Shots started going in during the second half, and Iowa pulled away.

We have not played well on Tuesday nights on espn. Hope the trend changes but the sharps would play Indiana on Tuesday night then take those winnings and lay it on Iowa Saturday at home
