Noah Shannon is intriguing. I know how difficult it is for freshmen to come in an contribute the closer they are to the ball, but here's a guy that's 305, has a very low center of gravity, and after watching his tape...he has an attitude of not like the offensive team very much. I think the big thing in his favor is the way he's built...not tall, and carries his weight in his lower body. Natural leverage and at 305, he's going to be pretty tough to move.
He's not the most likely to play, but he's my pick to surprise people. It's really going to be interesting to watch our defensive line this year. My feeling early is that we are undersized inside at DT...but the good thing is that we are deep with upperclassmen...who under KF, tend to play their best as juniors and seniors. You get teams in 2nd and 3rd and long and I think the four rushing the passer are A. Nelson, Epenesa, Golston, and Hesse.
