In-Season Overhaul Not Coming for Iowa Offense

Don't panic, is the message. Iowa will continue to see 8 men in the box and dare them to throw downfield. Petras is still very slow. If the message is "Stay calm, All is well!" yelled loud enough and expect people to believe it I have to say I'm skeptical. There will be a stepdown in talent against NW but not coaching. If Iowa loses this game to Fitz, let the overhauling begin. If Petras looks good than things should calm, if not why is Padilla not an option, hasn't he put in the work and sweat as well? Why was he recruited if Iowa has no plans for him?

Petras seems like a good young man but his analysis of the situation Iowa finds itself in is a bit cavalier. Not that I expect him to agree that things are really bad but he seems to have taken on the Ferentz mentality that we just need to execute a little better or (clean a few things up)
I agree with Ferentz that a reboot is not possible at this point of the season. I think we found that out at Wisconsin after a bye week. This offense can not be salvaged. Coaching, Talent and now Panic are all in the way. There are undoubtedly some things a good coaching staff could do to put a "little" life in the offense but I am not optimistic.
We could still win a couple of games because we have a good defense Special Teams and are playing some real mediocre to bad teams
