I'm watching the REPLAY of IA vs IL BBall and realized something

I watched most of it live tonight as well. I could hardly stand to watch the live version of Iowa Basketball under Lickliter and here I am watching a REPLAY of McCaffery's Hawkeyes after a LOSS and still being entertained... Gus Johnson calling the game helps a little as well.

I like the style and the direction of the program. I hope we can turn the program around.

I watched the whole game and a little bit of the replay. I never would have done that under Lick. During the last few years, I would have turned off the game when Illinois got the 13 point lead in the first half. TV would show him with his deer in the headlights look, completely bewildered; and I would start laughing and move on.

I don't like moral victories, but the players didn't quit.

Watching a Lickliter game replay would be like watching the 2nd coat of paint dry after watching the 1st earlier the same day.

Watched the whole game, they didn't quit and if they would have made some free throws, who knows. Under Lick it was unwatchable. Mel was sick, Can't believe I am saying this but Brommer actually is improving and McCabe plays with a certain edge. Seems to be tough and will only get better, stronger. OSU could roll us big time but at least I know when they are playing and will tune in. Last year?.....wouldn't have bothered.
