Well, we don't have to actually be unranked, I'd be fine with #23 or somewhere in there.



If you see any Iowa fan crying when preseason ranking come out for next year, hit them. We do better when we aren't part of the hype machine.

at some point though kirk is going to have to learn some other motivation tool than the good old underdog card.
but yes, we apparently do much, much better when we can sneak up on people and beat the **** out of them.

i know, and that's why i said what i said. if we can't make that jump, we'll always be 8-4 to 9-3 at best with the occasional 10-2 year in there.

Well, if there is one thing I have learned from this year....it is that it is MUCH MUCH more fun to exceed low expectations than not live up to high expectations. So I am definitely happy to not be ranked.
