Just announced that Jereme Richmond is declaring for the NBA draft and is seeking to hire an agent.
He issued a statement thanking the illini for their support..liar.
Weber issued a statement wishing him luck.

The kid is good, but not a real student,so he might be making the right decision...go to Europe and develop his game...he is not nearly ready for the NBA.

I thought he would amount to more than he did this year for the Illini. He was a good player, but he really played second fiddle to Davis, even though he did have a few good games. I was actually really worried about him being in the Big Ten after watching him play against Ames last year on ESPN, but luckily those fears were premature.

Is he going pro in Europe? Seriously, this kid is not getting drafted. He is a D leaguer at best.

The illini scout board is fully of merrymen and anybody who dissents is usually banned immediately. It's amusing.

I don't know who is advising these kids. The labor situation in the NBA will be worse next year than the current NFL labor state of affairs.

The NBA wants to reduce salaries by twenty-five percent or eliminate teams. Unlike the NFL owners & players arguing over billions of dollars, supposedly, over half the teams in the NBA are losing money. Everybody in the NFL makes money, this is not the case with the NBA. My understanding is that several teams will lose less money with no season.

Hopefully, the NBA will address the "one-and-done" rule in the next CBA. The MLB or NFL rule will benefit both the NBA & college basketball.
