I was there in November when Iowa got beat by a DII Augustana in an exhibition. I remember telling my buddy as we were leaving that they will struggle this season with a short bench and a "soft" leader in Uthoff. I've never been happier to be wrong. The bench and Jared both grew as the season progressed and it's been a heck of a season thus far. Losing at Penn State sucks. Period. It shouldn't happen but I'll take it. If you would have told me as I walking out of Carver that night in November that Iowa with 4 games left to play would be tied for first in the b10,ranked in the top 10, have a player of the year candidate, a lock for an ncaa berth, projecting as a #2 seed. I would have jumped at that. Again, @ PSU is a bad loss and they have not looked great for a couple weeks but from where they were to where they are, I'll take it.

^^ good points, I was shocked at the Augustana loss but I didnt see it or listen to that game so unsure who all played how many minutes, etc.
Last nite was PSU shooting lights out and the hawks just could string together a few consective baskets even though they seemed to shut down PSU's offense in the middle of the second half.

Here's where coaching comes in... with a week to regroup this is all about Fran and the Sr leadership of this team.
They're still in solid position, despite a little fade. No need to panic. But 4 tough games ahead... do they get their groove back or fade further.

I'm not going to hedge. I think we will win the next 3 and have a 2 game lead when we go to Michigan. We then ruin their Senior Day with a win and move back up to the 1 line in all of the phantom brackets. Win 2 in the BTT and we are guaranteed a 1. Win less than 2 and we're a guaranteed a 2 with a good shot at a 1 depending on all of the other conference tournaments.
