Yea, tonight was disappointing, and so was last week.

I think a lot of you seem to forgot where we were just a few short years ago.

I think we have a chance to win out, because I believe we are that good.

I also think we are a sweet 16 team, if not better.

No chance at sweet 16 if we cannot shoot the ball with more consistency from the outside. Also need White and Marble to show up for every game and show a little more mental toughness.

I realize this this.

I also realize that our guys need a huge gut check before Saturday.

Saturday is a MUST WIN.
 
I'll say it too: Iowa is a good team. But I learned a long time ago and it was beaten in last year and again this year: Enjoy the wins, but don't expect them, especially when the lights are bright. This group has moments of greatness and moments that make you scratch your head, many times within the same 10 minute stretch. Have to live with both.
 
Even if Iowa makes the tournament, which I still think is a good bet, I'm starting to think our seed isn't going to be good enough where we aren't going to have a tall order just to get past the first weekend. Sweet 16 or better.. Probably going to be facing a Top 3 seed in the second round unless this team can put it together and go on a run, here.
 
We're in the tourney. That is just silliness thinking otherwise. How far we could go is a huge question. If we play like tonight we could easy get bounced first round.

shooting 3 out of 20 from three is not a good team. You're two best players not showing up only scoring 18 points together is not a good team. OSU shot 51% on 2 PT and 43 on 3 PT. Izzo showed the BIG how to beat Iowa slow the game, protect the paint, foul on the drive and make Iowa shoot from outside. That is how OSU played the Hawks and they won. We are getting out coached and out played PERIOD.
 
We get the wrong mid major in the first round that goes bombs away, they will smoke us. Fran doesn't seem to realize the advantage we have in the post.

Oh, I remember where Iowa basketball was a few years ago. Tonight was a great reminder. Isn't the circle of life interesting -- things tend to return to their natural state. I didn't think it would happen until 2015-2016 season.

His dogmatic line changes and inopportune rotations toward small ball (with athletically overmatched guards who struggle to defend and are not very good shooters) would suggest he's completely oblivious to it.
