I'll probably find a lot of disagreement here, but...

for some reason, and despite what I've heard Jon say on his radio show a few times, May has become my favorite month in sports. I love football season, but that's usually a weekend thing, and it seems like right now whenever I turn the TV on there's a MLB game, NBA playoff game, hockey playoff game, or golf or something. I never usually make a note to tune in to the ESPN afternoon shows with the talking heads but during May I always want to hear their commentary.

Cool...

I'm with you on the NHL and baseball. The NBA and the screamers at ESPN...not so much.

Since nobody's stepped up to disagree yet, let me do the work of several ordinary men.

You're out of your freakin' mind. Go up to your roof right now, strip to your boxers and scream an apology to your entire neighborhood. May? Jeesh.

I love my hockey and baseball, but nothing....abosolutly nothing, compares to the fall in regards to sports.

NBA conference finals on TNT. Hockey on... I don't even know. Baseball doesn't matter for about four months. Awesome!

Hockey on Versus during the week and NBC on the weekends. Playoff hockey is fun. Of course, as a Blackhawks fan, it's going really well now. :)

As a kid I watched a baseball game everyday on TV. I can't watch it today, too slow.

December is a great month, football, basketball, hockey.

I love the NBA Playoffs, but that is about it. I was a lot more into baseball when my team, The Braves, played every game on TBS. It was a sad day for me when TBS dropped them... :(

I will disagree, Sept and Oct are my favorite. Football season is heating up. Basketball season is firing up, and baseball season is in the playoffs. Also I am still able to play fall golf if I so choose. September weather is usually good and October weather is pretty good.

Fall is my favorite by far as a spectator. There is nothing better than College football in my book. It's also the only time I pay much attention to baseball, other than the few games per year I attend.

Spring/Summer is my favorite participation season. Fishing, Golfing, target shooting, 5k's, canoe trips and the occasional adult kick ball or volley ball tournaments.

Definately the fall for me. Especially October-November, because football is well underway, MLB playoffs are on, and I know basketball will be starting right after. I can't stand watching NBA though, college basketball is way better.

September is the greatest month.
There is no room for disagreement.
I'm not just talking about sports..

you're right, I do disagree with everything you say. MLB is a 100% guaranteed cure for insomnia, hockey.............that's STILL on (?!?), the NBA is all thugs and bad basketball players who can't shoot, and golf is all about one guy........plus it's boring. There are no actual sports until September.

I vote September! Then November, December, and January Bowls and Super Bowl.

Friday Night - HS Football
Saturday - Hawkeye Football
Sunday - Dah Bears and follow my fantasy league players
Monday - more football

You just cannot get anybetter than this!

This is probably the most worthless, generalized, stereotypical post I've ever seen on a message board.

I've heard baseball is boring too many times; it's not boring if you actually pay attention.

Yes, hockey is STILL on...why wouldn't it be?

I'm not even going to address the third point...

Golf is about a field of like 100 players so...

And if there are no "actual" sports until September I guess that means you think the only "actual" sport is football.

August sucks.

Playoffs haven't started yet.

Football hasn't started yet.

I think the NBA finals will almost be settled by them........

And of course my birthday is in August, which is just another way of saying that you're life is one year closer to being finished. It gets worse the older you get. After 21 you have little else to look forward too, and especially after college.
