You had a receiver who dropped passes at critical times or a RB who had a problem fumbling at crunch time would you not go to someone else at crunch time? If the answer is yes then why the hell does Stanley stay in the game when it's obvious he is having a game where he couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a steam shovel?

I just asked this same question in another thread. This is the first game where I've called for Stanley to sit down. I'm not saying that Stanley should be benched for the entire season but this game, for sure.

Here was my post - Stanley is a 2nd year QB. These highly paid DCs have plenty of film on him. They design defenses to make his job difficult. Better DCs will be more effective. Having seen how poorly he played through 1 half, BF should have started someone else in the 2nd half. When 1 player struggles that much, it's not fair to the rest of the team to let him stay in the game. The back ups practice too, right? They sacrifice. They put in the same amount of hard work as the rest of the team, don't they?

Kirk and Brian obviously know what they are doing. If they think Stanley gives them the best chance to win, then they must be right. ;)

And I just created a thread saying the same? Guess we are on the SAME PAGE. So I agree 100% Stanley was horrid today and should of sat at some point.

Why is the quarterback the ONLY POSITION IN ALL OF SPORTS that it is taboo to substitute when the starter is struggling? Never have been able to figure that one out. Hard to believe anyone's psyche is that fragile they can't handle getting pulled when even they have know they are sucking big time at the moment. Give em a couple series off to regroup!

What is really bad is he had a bad day and the hawks could have still beat a tough ranked opponent on the road with just a few more plays and catches.

too bad they let this one get away from them

PSU is not tough. They are mediocre, and we are worse.
