If we had lost to UNC and beaten ISU

Would everyone still be as down? We won the better of two games and people seem to think that things terrible. I'll take the UNC win and deal with the Clowns and their fans. I said this before the UNC game that I would rather have that game than the ISU game and I still believe that. No one outside the state will care about this game, but a lot of national talkers were talking about the UNC win. Some people get to wrapped up in beating ISU just because they are in the same state as us and because we don't want to have to deal with their idiot fans. Still nice to see ol' Roy go down.

I honestly am not convinced that UNC is a better team than ISU right now, based on what I've seen. Gotta look at more than the school's name on the front of the jersey.

ISU beat UNC in the NCAA Tournament last year, by the way, and were the higher seed. They're also more highly rated in the polls right now as well.

It's crazy how down people get after a loss in basketball. ISU is a legit top 10 team. What happened isn't that big of a deal.

UNC beat UNC, not Iowa. They had absolutely horrible game against us. We will beat teams that have bad nights, doesn't make us a good team.

I am not impressed with UNC at all. Roy is on his last leg. By the way I am not impressed at all with Paige for the hype he gets. Morris is every bit as good if not better.

I have been and remain more impressed with ISU and really think they have a final four, final 8 shot. They should win the Big12 this year. They have too many shot makers to have too many nights where every one is not hitting. That is the bottom line. Shots win games.

I posted earlier that I thought we would lose all three games; UNC, ISU and UNI after New York. I was really surprised we beat UNC, especially shooting as poorly as we did and with Gesell actually making a few shots.

Like football this season, perception matters. Getting rolled on your own court is humiliating. By a rival.

It's not like ISU swags into OKST, TXT, or TCU and rolls them. Iowa? Yes. Those places? No.

ISU has a much better team than UNC this year.
A road win made that game decent, but only shot a little over 30% vs UNC, not like they played great.

Just not impressed with Roy and his UNC team. The last couple of years they are a train-wreck.

Ulis was mentioned in the post game. Must mean he played well.

Also UNC plays Ohio State next Saturday so that should be interesting.

Yes, this is what I was getting at. Also, the win in UNC is better because of perception. Winning at UNC sounds better than winning at home against Iowa State. I don't care which team is actually better, not many teams go into UNC and win.

Also, I don't care how bad UNC played. We beat them. On the road. Period.

The question wasn't asking which would have been the worse loss, it was which was the better win. Nobody outside of the state of Iowa even knows the two teams played last night.

UNC was not a quality win. Both team were miserable in that game. It was a Ferentz like stumble into a victory when the other team out fails you.
