If they had hard times selling tickets to this bowl

I dont think it is that much of a stretch. We always show up for 1 or 2 games that we aren't expected to. (Wisconsin, Nebraska this year)

The big 10 wants as many 6-6 teams as they can to be bowl eligible.

Are you aware that we lost to NE and WI? Who cares how you "show up" if you lose. That's like dating a drag queen because the make-up and dress look good.

Yes I know, my point is we always win 1-2 games that we shouldnt (after we loose 1-2 that we shouldn't)

For arguments sake, lets just say that they manage to win 6 games.

How many bowl tickets will we sell?

I guess the silver lining is we don't have to worry about losing games we "should win" next year. I don't see a game on the schedule that meets that criteria.

The first sign was when tickets were $10 on StubHub prior to the Wisconsin game, despite having a strong chance of winning the Big Ten West with 2 games to go.
Fans knew it wasn't going to happen; hence, the $10 tickets.
Fans already checked out, earlier in the season.

Our TV photo-bomb friend, Phil Haddy, who has been to every Iowa bowl game, since 1982, said that this was the worst attended bowl in the past 30+ years.
This despite $2/gal gas, no wind chill in Jacksonsville, this time around, and promises of CJ getting reps.

Kurt is 3-5 at Ames, and if Iowa loses, another at Iowa State, it's, officially, over.
Iowa has won more than 7 games once in a season (2002) when they lose to Iowa State.
Another 7-5 season, with this easy schedule, with 50K in the stands, means it's over.
