If Iowa gets another shot at Indiana

They need to beat the s&&& out of Yogi. If it were me I would have Clemmons, MG and CW all hack, hold, push shove (Basically play MSU thug ball) and get in his head. Wear him down. Post him up on D and take it to him. Indiana likes to chuck, you got to be close when they chuck and block out before they let go of the shot, know shooter likes to come down on another players foot. All I'm saying here is MSU, and Wiscy win with this mentality time and time again.

Iowa guards are not physical enough, tough enough, nor athletic enough to pull it off. Yogi would take it at them and foul all 3 of them out. Then Hawks would be fckd, having to rely on Ellingson or Fleming to run the point while Yogi scores 30 at the line.

All I'm saying here is, Iowa is struggling enough being who they are; why try to be someone they're not? Not to mention, it's a moot point. Iowa isn't going to get past Purdue.

Indiana has scored under 70 points three times in big ten play...2 of them were losses. In their other loss to Wisconsin they had 71 points going into OT.

To beat them you gotta do what penn state did to Iowa when they beat the hawks. Slow the game down. That's what Wisconsin did both times they played them. They beat them once and lost 59-58 in their other game. Unfortunately they're usually playing with a lead so you can't do that.

If they run and gun and you try to run with them, you lose unless they're missing their shots or you can contest their shots. Like when they shot 38% in a loss to michigan state.

The answer is not hack-a-yogi

Iowa will smash them if they play again. Anthony Clemmons will shut that bum down. Iowa is in a good position to run the table in the big 10 tournament. They have confidence and momentum following the big win at Michigan on their senior day. If Iowa can win there they can beat Indiana at a neutral site.

IF we get a chance to play them again it isn't going to be easy.We haven't put a full game together in a long time,we need consistency in all phases of the game regardless if it's a neutral court or not.We need all hands on deck playing their A Game.Good Luck Hawks put it all together.

When we come up against a team like Indiana, you have to do to them what MSU, Wisky, Purdue and Penn State do.....namely, you have to "goon it up".

You have to get into them up top and if they drive then you pound them for coming into the lane. You have to grab and hold when they're cutting thru the lane and the big guys have to put a hip into them as well when they're cutting thru. Those teams I mentioned figured out long ago that B1G refs are NOT going to call every single foul. Heck, PSU did it the whole game against us, and granted, they had 4 guys with 4 fouls, but I don't think a single guy fouled out.

We can run and gun with the best of them, but a team like Indiana is way more athletic than us and can play our game better than we can. That's why you goon it up.

Yes, and the first two games we played against them would tell us exactly that. We can beat them on a given day but would have to shoot better and play better D.

Or just post up Yogi. Throw the ball high and not low into post feed when he is guarding people. We give up too quickly on waiting for that post to develop when we have tried to post him. Getting ahead of ourselves though. Need to beat Illinois first. Michigan was a huge win to give our players a mental break of the questions and doubt of our team.

I don't have failures. Even if I did, other people would volunteer to have me blame them.

However, to show I'm a man of the people and truly here to make the world a better place ...

I'm VERY POSITIVE hack-attacking Yogi would be a bad strategy and would STRONGLY ENCOURAGE against it so that Iowa's guards don't foul out and Yogi scores 30 at the line. I'm also VERY POSITIVE that Iowa will lose to Purdue, and will not get another shot at Indiana. However, I ENCOURAGE them to play hard, show well and am OPTIMISTIC they will not get beat by more than 8 points.:)

See ... I'm frvcking Mr. Sunshine!
