If ARob is booted

will that affect Sash/McNutt/Prater's decisions to leave early? I am in no way saying Iowa can't be good next year. I am just wondering if you guys think they may see that Iowa's top 2 RB's from this year gone and Iowa replacing some other positions and think it is a good time to go pro. Thoughts?

I really wouldn't think so, as it isn't going to give them any higher grade in this year's draft. I suppose if they are on the edge (looking at a 3rd round grade this year), they might consider the fact that the team could be taking a step back with ARob gone, which could hurt their draft stock. Seems unlikely, though, since we are only coming off of a 7-5 year...

I don't think this will factor in one way or another. Coker has greater upside the Arob. Arob was a workhorse that got the most of his ability, but Iowa will be OK at RB next year.

Only if they smoke a lot of weed and fear the upcoming crackdown. All three would benefit from another year (none would be picked in the first 3 rounds, although all might next year). And next year is their opportunity to lead this Iowa team. Why would the leaders/superstars of next year's team want to leave early when they will not be picked in the first couple rounds?

No. If a player wants to leave early to to get paid, that player is going to leave.

It doesn't matter. ARod was not going to be used much next year any way. He has two concussions, one more would really be bad for his health. I would have switched him to WR to reduce collisions.

People said last off-season that ARob would not be used this year because we would have Wegher and Jewel would be back. Well guess what? ARob was once again our leading rusher this year. For people to say he was not going to be used much next year is laughable. If he would not have gotten in trouble he would have been our #1 back going into spring ball.

Switch him to WR? What on God's green earth would make you think that he would be an effective WR?

LMAO! Football is the ultimate TEAM game. One guy doesn't make or break a team Clown. Iowa will have enough talent in the backfield to compete. Have yu not seen Coker run the ball?

I think if Hampton stayed healthy and Wegher kept little Brandon under wraps that Robinson was going to get beat out.

I think Robinson would have been beaten out by Coker once Marcus had time to learn the system and such.

Robinson got the most out of his limited ability. He did get some tough yards but he left a lot of yards on the field because he is painfully slow and always got caught from behind.

Top 2 RB's? Where is Coker going? Honestly I don't think ARob was going to be the starter next year anyway.

Oh come on, blkngold, the guy asked a legitimate question in a non flaming manner, and he has to be on the receiving end of your insults. Lighten up a little.

I hope ARob or should I say ADoob signs in an reads these posts <highly doubtful> but I say good bye don't let the door hit you on the A S S on the way out. Some of these players think so little of themselves and more importantly the TEAM when they do this stuff that it's mind boggling.

whether iowa had arob next year or not, i think iowa would have been an 8-4 team next season. Now if they lose mcnutt, sash and prater, that could affect a couple of games, and maybe they are looking at 6-6? I know next year is going to be a year of no expectations, but without the the last 3, if they all 3 go to the NFL, it could be a very long season.
