It's a crime. He got stopped. Act like a normal human being...and not try to kill the cop.

Don't wanna get stopped by the police? Don't run in the middle of the road at 2 AM.

You heard it hear first. If you're a cop, expect to be choked for talking to people for committing minor traffic violations.

Fact No. 1: Sgt. Krei, the officer who was attacked, is well-respected. Even by students. He is decidedly NOT one of the tools who often patrol downtown at night.

Fact No. 2: There is just about nothing that justifies what this idiot did. Unless this cop just comes up and starts beating you for no reason, you have ZERO right to nearly kill the man.

Fact No. 3: The kid was running across the street, shirtless, on a November night when the temps were in the low 20s. It was pretty obvious the kid was drunk, and a danger to both himself and those around him (Evidenced by his running across the road and disrupting traffic. It was likely only a matter of time before he got clocked by a car.).

What more do you need to know?

the unforetunate thing is the charges will be lowered to a charge of aggravated assault he will get a fine and maybe a few weeks in jail,
not enough time in my opinion
 
lol that chick takes a while to help. I would of hopped in to help right away but she just stands there looking at the cop getting choked out.

I don't doubt Sgt. Krei is a good guy, and I don't support what this kid did, but you've really distorted the story here. The kid was NOT shirtless, and from what can be seen on the video, was not disrupting any traffic. He was simply jogging across the street with his hands in his pockets.

Who knows what happened prior to the dash cam video.
 
Arent cops trained to not let skinny college kids choke them out. That being said, i really really do not like cops, period.

oh i dont know about that, if you choke a cop out and smash his head into the curb, i think you are going to get some time.
