Is it just me or do radio hosts get "sick" more than any other profession in the world....There always seems to be somebody missing from one of the local shows.

Could be worse...Jim Rome gets 7 weeks of vacation every year. I was surprised to hear him on the show today...he usually gets national holidays off as well.

Actually I listened for a bit today and he said he gets 6wks of vac. an emailer asked why he was there on a holiday and he said he wanted to be on the air for the Vets. I don't care much for his show, but my hours changed so I listen about 30mins a day. I wish I could still listen to Dan Patrick on my lunch!
