Minnesota seemed like it was a better team than it had demonstrated in recent games and one night the Gophers were going to be able to put it all together -- solid defense, aggressive attitude, penetration to the basket, lights-out-shooting. I was afraid that night was going to come at Iowa's expense in The Barn, and unfortunately I was right. I will add that the Gophers benefited from superior coaching.

Iowa certainly had their chances, but, once again, demonstrated that w/out mental toughness, a red hot gopher team shredded our "D".....Law, I'm afraid you will see more of that on Thursday night....Someone started a thread about a team meeting, that, my friend, has been long over due.....We have all assumed Iowa to be breaking through, but I haven't seen it yet....blah, blah, too many close games lost down the stretch, bad coaching, the wrong combination of kids on the court at crucial times....same song....this team is talented, but they haven't quite taken this "talent" to the next level....I agree, hard to win on the road, but really, Minnesota? It needs to change and I hope it starts at Indiana...I could see it in the first half...playing soft, not being aggressive, being too passive w/the ball...Getting old...

Down 10 points.. Five minutes to play.... And he decides to drive the lane into triple-teamed-traffic? Why does he do something like that every time (IMO, he thinks) the game is on the line?

While Minnesota was frigid cold with a 7 minute scoring drought in the last few minutes, many different Hawkeyes were jacking up hurried and crazy shots with no success of rebound.

The 2 illegal screens by Gabe killed us. I didn't see the first one but the second one was horrible on his part. I'm sure the ref didn't like calling 2 in a row but Gabe didn't give him a choice.

Congrats, Law. Hope there's room for 2 on that podium cuz I saw it too ...

Of course, you nailed the "how" it was gonna happen while I nailed the "why". Unfortunately, the "how" is irrelevant because the "why" is prevalent.

I appreciate that Dev came to Iowa. Also appreciate that this is his last season.

This was the year we needed to make a statement. Not going to happen. We easily could lose the rest of the way, make a quick exit in the BTT.
