How many 3rd and over 7 yards did Brian Ferentz call for a pass under 4 yards?

Um, Iowa averaged 2.9 yds per rush. That's 2.9 yds. And you want them to run more? For the record I was also pissed at the number of 3 or 4 to go on third downs on the edge of field goal range that he passed instead of running.

guess he's asking "what would greg davis do?"How many 3rd and over 7 yards did Brian Ferentz call for a pass under 4 yards?
In a third and 3 that's on the edge of field goal range and a clear four down situation? Yes I do. I also want them to pass more when you need to score at the end of the game and when you're in third and long. All around shitty play calling.Um, Iowa averaged 2.9 yds per rush. That's 2.9 yds. I think you need to add “while a defender is right on the heels of the receiver, not running with a clear path to the first down marker”. Then it would be an Iowa staple.Guy's you got me lost on this one???? what did we do differently than any other game in that situation? That's an Iowa mainstay!
Damn!!! There's a lot of details in a shit play like that isn't there!I think you need to add “while a defender is right on the heels of the receiver, not running with a clear path to the first down marker”. Then it would be an Iowa staple.
It’s all in how you draw it up, and, of course, execute it.Damn!!! There's a lot of details in a shit play like that isn't there!
Of course.... interesting and each time the results the same! My God homes our staff is ingenious! It’s all in how you draw it up, and, of course, execute it.
The real problem is he throws the ball late or off target making his receiver either wait for the ball or dive for it. They are then in no position to avoid the first defender. The play where he threw back to Hock had three blockers set up but by time the ball got to him the defense recovered. He as a QB has no ability to hit his receivers either in stride or between defenders. NW's QB did it all day. His receivers caught the ball in stride and usually went two to three yards untouched. How many 3rd and over 7 yards did Brian Ferentz call for a pass under 4 yards?
