Nice but it would have been great if your last Gif had been their last punt return fiasco. I can imagine how Cyclown Nation just let out this major "Arrgghh" when their blocker ran into the punt returner. I have been around some YOUNG ISU fans when they had some big wins against Big 12 foes and they come off like they have won a bunch of Big 12 titles and are even Natty Champ caliber so they are a quite clueless.

This all could be relevant to Iowa’s last offensive possession.

I don’t expect we will be so fortunate next year.

I'm not so sure ISU will be either. They lose 7 starters on offense, including 4 of 5 on the OL, 5 on defense, and won't have the benefit of being at home on a super wonky day.

Petras will have two 3-year starters to work with as WRs, plus OM, TT, and NR, as well as a solid chunk of his OL and all his RBs back.

Plus Campbell's door will be a knockin' if he has even a respectable season. And I see no reason why he won't.

I do have a hunch, and it's just that, when and if Campbell does get off the schneid against Iowa it will be at Kinnick. They will come in with a stealth attitude, steal the game, and leave as stealthily as they came in.

ISU fans have the same feeling we had last year after the Wisconsin game. Punt return snafu cost us a game we probably should have won.

The only difference being that Iowa had 2 snafus in that game. But your point is spot on. If Iowa doesn't screw up 2 punt returns against Wisconsin, they win that game. They may have won it by double digits. One snafu gave the Badgers 7 and the other kept Iowa from at least 3.

And if ISU fields that punt cleanly they likely win. They had so much time and a TO I think they would have moved into FG range so quickly they would have probably had to kneel on it a play or 2 prior to kicking it in order to burn all of the clock.

Best part of the punt return is that he pushed the Iowa guy out of the way and might have done us a favor by doing that too? Our guy might have possibly grazed the returner and drawn a flag had he not been shoved out of the way LOL.
Sure looked like he had a good head of steam going towards the returner.

I see your point. ISU should just forfeit and let their clowns go back to the circus.

The guy I want to see doylized is Goodson. Still scratching my head on how will stole him away from SEC country. Gator aid player of the year from Georgia???

Runs like my man Walter Payton. I guess there was some truth to the article I posted on him right before the season opened. He has been just one step away from taking it to house two or three times.

It was almost as if he nonverbally said "I got this" with he shoved the Iowa guy out of the way. It was a very kind gesture and proof that Hawks and Cyclones can work together.
