I honestly don't understand this desert argument

Every day this week people have been like "LOL this game makes me uncertain because it's in the desert!11!!" Yeah, which doesn't mean anything. You're playing on a field of grass, and there's a stadium separating the desert from you. I can see Mile High, etc having an adverse effect on teams, but unless there's a sandstorm that encompasses the field, it's not going to matter.

It's the heat that is what a lot of people are usually concerned about. It can go from really hot and dry to pretty cold relatively quickly (not sure about Tucson itself).

I am not worried about the heat... These guys had 2 a days in disgusting heat and humidity on top of it just a few weeks ago.. It will be just fine :) Have faith people

It's a hangover from 2004. Rather than look at all the reasons we lost in 04 (starting with a sophomore QB making his 1st start), they have to find some external source of our struggles. We've played night games and won since then, so that couldn't be it. Some of the seniors from last year and '08 were on that team, so it wasn't that we had nobody talented. We have the same head coach and OC so that couldn't be it. It MUST be that it was in the desert! Yeah, that's the ticket!

It's a red herring. We lost that game because we played badly. We've won in heat, we've practiced and drilled in it all summer. It won't be a factor.
