I have to say last year's 12-0 record was way more than a 100 to 1 against shot and most people never saw it coming. So many posters talking playoffs before this season and for me I have to say now Big 10 West championship is usually the thing the hawks can more realistically get. Were the hawks overconfident yesterday??? I hope that was some of it because I cant believe our tackling, blocking, mental play, and pad lower and edge technique got so bad so fast from last year.
If this team can start tackling better like last year, if the coaches give the defense a chance to make plays, if the passing offense picks up to take teams out of loading the box then I am still confident they can win the West. A return trip to Indy would be great.
I just never can think of playoffs before the season and get worked up about it. Let alone the thought of winning a natty championship unless they beat the 10000 to 1 odds.
