I feel really bad for Weisman

He embodies everything most Iowa fans love, and he frickin killed it today and the rest of his team wet the bed and let him down.

I feel really bad him too but I also feel for Meyer. Sets record for most consecutive PATs today and makes what could've been an impressive game-winning FG into the wind.

Weisman had a very good game today but his O-Line and Brad Rogers were outstanding in run block execution today. Weisman had many runs when he wasn't even touched until he was 5 yds down the field. Oh well....going to be tough to match his performance the rest of the year as this was the weakest defense by far the Hawks will face.

He also broke a lot of tackles and made some good cuts. The whole running game did well.

Did AY go over 200 in a loss? Obviously Coker did last year. What are the odds of that happening 3 times in the last 10 years?

Many of his runs were sealed by blocks from Rogers. This is not an impressive O-line, they even look average against the likes of NIll, UNI, CMU, ISU - in context of the opponent they are pathetic

Weisman prolly feels the worst. He gave his all, kicked *** and no one else looked like they gave 2 *****.

Anyone want to bet Weisman goes back to fullback and doesn't get any more carries when Garmon, Bullock and Canzeri are all cleared to play?

I don't think AY went over 200 in his career, but he did have a great game against Northwestern (IIRC) in 2005 or 2006.

There was a lot of great effort by the players today. Just not so much by the coaching staff. I have never seen a team make that many adjustments on the fly. It seemed like Morris had to move players on every play. Was the film room closed all week? The team was not prepared. Period.

I don't feel too bad for Weisman. I listened to the post game interview with him on the radio and he really sounds like a smart kid and a good leader... something we desperately need. He's not beating himself up to much and is remaining positive. I think he'll be fine.

I know he will. He will just run over the next guy and the next guy and just get up for the next play. But unless he starts playing defense and special teams, we screwed.

I'm all for dishing out praise to Weisman it is deserved, let's not forget that costly fumble. Let's also not forget his 2 games are against UNI and CMU. I will withhold judgement until he has seen Big Ten Defenses..

I don't feel sorry he fumbled inside 20 and gave them points on board. All of the own this loss including him
