I dont think CJB ran the zone read-his QB draws are great-other thoughts

I know CJ ran a couple regular option plays, the first one seemed wide open for a pitch to Parker (i think it was) for good yards.

But I dont think CJ ran the zone read handoff which I thought he was supposed to be trained for. Did he run any zone read?

He really sells the QB draw and runs it great, Jake does also but not with the burst. In the hawk offense the defense rarely accounts for the QB running so if you dont run the zone read handoff it would be good to keep running that QB draw on occasion to slow down the pass rush.

CJ and KMM looked like they had never been on the field together before. And, I don't know, KMM looked lazy on those two quick screen type passes. It seemed CJ lead him like you see the QB doing on that type of play but KMM just seemed to float to the sideline. Maybe KMM thought he would get a bullet pass right at him. But they need to work together on that play. I think they hooked up it a few times at Pitt and Purdue.

The last couple of possessions nursing that lead might be a good time to have CJ in with his extra running ability. Rudock did well eating up some time but CJ gives more running ability to get a first down.

Jake played really well passing the ball and ball handling, not sure about audibles, etc unless you have inside info.

Dont think CJ was able to get in a rhythm today, maybe he was too hyped up in front of home crowd.

Correct me or add to my point please.

glad to see cj run with the ball fist snap, thought it would help him...nope.

o scheme play selection needs to change when hawk start drives deep

I don't get what they're doing at all with him.

Regular option? What was that? Not that I'm against it but it's just strange.

Everything seems so random with this offense, and not in a good way that keeps the D off balance but a weird way that throws the offense off.
