I think Hyde got beat but got back in time to grab an underthrown ball...I don't think Sunseri realized that Hyde is good enough to make up that ground and thought he could just dart one in there instead of putting some air under it.
Usually when a guy is baiting someone, it's like when Jovon Johnson used to let a guy keep catching quick outs and then would jump the route later in the game when the QB thought he had that pattern all day long, not "hey look, you burned me and if you throw it with some air under it your guy's going to the house cuz I have no help on the play, but if you under throw it, it's mine!".
