Pretty good list, Rob.
Your NW picks are interesting. I don't see it having that many losses, but I also don't see it beating MSU.
I like the fact that you took Indiana over Iowa. That's a major trap game for us, but, I don't see Purdue losing to Indiana.
I'd take NW and Purdue having better records, and Minnesota having a worse conference record.

Rob, I hope you are wrong as I don't see you having us beating anyone good. You may be right but if you are what a sorry state of affairs we have come to. As one poster liked to say "throw more money at Kirk". What happened to the days when sports media used to rip a sports program for mediocrity?
I am sticking with 10-2 just because it would mean we are in the hunt for the divisional championship and because sports fans should be following a team with the idea of winning at a high level or at least having that hope.
Unless the fans and media start to expect more don't ever expect things to change. We are slowly sinking into Iowa State territory. If the ISU coach keeps improving things in Ames then we may one day be looking UP at them like we do Wisconsin.

Ok. Iowa's going to lose to Purdue and Indiana. Purdue loses to Minnesota. Indiana loses to Rutgers. Northwestern's going to lose to Purdue.

Iowa kills Ohio State. Goes on the road the next week and gets killed by Wisconsin. Three weeks later, Ohio State beats Wisconsin in B1G title game.
It's not always easy to connect the dots, kind of like when Iowa kills Ohio State at home and then loses to Purdue at home two weeks later.
I'm telling you all now that my predictions won't be 100 percent accurate. They're predictions in August.

Ok. Purdue is not Ohio State or Wisconsin by any stretch of the imagination. Purdue returns 4 players on defense. They have a decent QB, decent receivers. So does Iowa. Northwestern will be hurting without Clayton Thorson so Purdue's odds are better. But they have had fall camp to work out that problem. Rutger's and Indiana will have a good game. And Indiana may be a trap game for Iowa, but on paper, Iowa should dominate them.
I get that Iowa will drop a game they shouldn't, probably win one they shouldn't but to push Purdue based on their performance last year, when they haven't done anything of note for the previous 5 years? Purdue got lucky last year.

Beating Indiana, Purdue (which are both good enough to beat Iowa) and NW... but losing to Maryland and Illinois?

Iowa plays at Indiana and Purdue. Minnesota has both of those teams at home. They're on the road at Illinois and Maryland with a true freshman walk-on QB starting.
Again, they're predictions in August. I wouldn't run to Vegas.

Not knocking it, Rob...just an observation. The teams "in the middle" are always unpredictable. This could be an interesting season.
