I like what Hock had to say. Finally we are playing to win!
Wonder...was there a meeting of the minds, with KF allowing such a shift in philosophy...gas pedal as opposed to pulling a 2 bottom plow?
I would bet the inconsistency of being able to grind it out in the run game has played a part of the swing in philosophy.Wonder...was there a meeting of the minds, with KF allowing such a shift in philosophy...gas pedal as opposed to pulling a 2 bottom plow?
I didn’t include in my column because I foucused on the offense, but that’s two weeks in a row that ISM has delivered a big kick return when the opposition had grabbed some momentum.
Yes we do but in past years we would have gone up by 3 scores and then clung to a lead to win by 3pts at the end or lose by 4 on a TD with 15 seconds left. Putting these teams away HARD is not the norm.We have to balance the warm and fuzzies (and accompanying stats) with the fact that our 2 wins in the BIG thus far are against opponents that are 1-6 in conference play with the one win (by Indiana) coming at the courtesy of Rutgers by a margin of 1 TD.
Agreed. That's my only knock on KF. Conservative to a fault.I don't care for "fear of failure" coaching...I do enjoy - "hey, let's go for it, we can get it done" type of coaching.
I think talented wide receivers like "go for it" football too.
Speaking of ISM, is his ankle okay? I know he came back into the game it just seems like a nagging sprain that’ s going to last awhile.
Rob, I believe I saw you on the sidelines towards the end of the game (?).
Got a little bored in the press box?
