I haven't heard any leaks as to the contract terms yet. They will be public records soon, but I am curious what everyone thinks and whether there is an amount that will make you think we overpaid.

He was rumored to be making around 500k a year at Sienna with a 2 mil or so buyout. I hope Iowa isn't paying him more than 1.2 mil a year and that they don't include a big buyout in case it doesn't work out. Also no 7 years contracts!

My guess: Around $1M/year and a 5 year deal.

I would hope about $1M with a bunch of incentives. I am always a fan of incentive based contracts. Let the guy make $2M if he can put butts in seats, graduate players, win games, get the team in the Big Dance, etc.

But don't pay on promise only. That is a good way to fail.

Considering we paid Lick 1.2 3 years ago, I would have to assume the market for coaches have gone up. Barbee got 1.5M/year from Auburn. I would assume something in that neighborhood.

This guy wasn't on anybodys short list outside of the open jobs at Seton Hall and St. John's. Anything over 1.2 mil/year = we overpaid.
