How much did you pay on street for ticket in Indy?

Bought tickets in Section 446 for $260 each, face value of $90. Was hoping for a better deal but didn't seem to be much on the street or on Craigslist. Seemed like demand was definitely more than supply. Didn't want to get left out and it was cold out so took what I could find a few hours before kickoff so we could relax. Curious how others fared.

Good story here bro. So we left Saturday morning from Des Moines at 9 am. No tickets, no hotel. I took the approach that people always exaggerate and worry and their would be plenty of tickets. Get to Lucas oil at a little after three. Walk around a bit and hardly see any scalpers. Nothing like kinnick. After about an hour so of walking around and checking things out and seeing about a dozen or so scalpers all needing tickets, i realized I guessed wrong on this one. I told the wifey we were probably watching in a bar. We hit the bars for a bit then headed to the mall. Scalper at the front of the mall had two tickets. I asked him how much, his reply "nickel". I said what? "$500". So we go into the mall for a bit, on our way out at the bottom of the escalator this pregnant couple who was a had of us turns around and says, do you guys need tickets? Apparently they heard my wife and I talking about not being able to see the game and offered us their tickets. They were Buckeyes. 110 a piece. They were very nice, we got really lucky. There were no tickets anywhere. We ran into lots and lots of people wanting tickets. Ran into two msu fans that sold their ms to a scalper for 300. Got lucky on a hotel room on the way back about an hour out. It was a little sketchy, but a bed was worth a murder or two in the area.

Those Buckeyes got swindled haha. I would have felt bad paying that little (wouldn't have stopped me though)

Actually, didn't seem like they cared. She was preggers. I just grabbed two hundreds and a added a twenty. I think they would have did 200. I was ready to pay though. I wanted to see the game after feeling the buzz on the streets. It was awesome down there. I really hope we make it again next year.

Paid 275 50 yd line but top level. Bought 90 min for game. Was competing against so many other hawk fans

Any counterfeit ticket stories? Embarrassed to tell one?

I buy scalped tickets for almost every sporting event I attend, and after years of doing this, I've bought ONE counterfeit ticket. It was for a Blackhawks playoff game a few years ago. I should have known because let's just say the guy I bought them from looked rather..."hood"...and there were virtually no tickets left.

I had purchased way back in Oct.

My buddy and I spoke to four different 'street vendors', asking them what they were selling tix for (out of curiosity).

To a person, they said, "If I had any tickets to sell I could tell you."

Ran into 2 groups of people who bought fake tickets in Indy, one a group of 4 college age girls who said they paid $200/ticket. The other, a pair of guys who said they paid $250. Brutal. Also had a woman who said she was from Kentucky and knew one of the guys taking tickets and could get us in for $100/person and we wouldn't have to pay her until we were thru the gates. Almost took her up on the deal, but it felt a little too slimy.

Been there once myself - bought a pair of fake ones in high school, the first time I ever scalped, for the '06 O$U game but managed to get in the stadium since we went in right when gates opened and ticket takers didn't know there were so many counterfeits going around, very lucky!

Sounds like I didn't do too bad with my tickets. We were up high enough in the corner to see down the field but not all the way up. Did see another seller who had the printed tickets and wanted $700 for a pair in the end zone. Told him I wanted hard tickets and that those printed tickets can be copied to make multiples. He offered to show me his license as proof that he was honest, but I declined. Not sure how knowing his identity would have helped if it was a scam and the license could be a fake too. No way I'd trust those printed tickets from a scalper.

I didn't see many tickets being sold in Indy. This makes me wonder if the price of the Rose Bowl tickets will come down much. Iowa fans are crazy (and flush with some Christmas cash).

$400 - 9 rows up in the MSU Logoed end zone. Bought the tickets at about 1pm, didn't want to have to worry about it all day. Stayed at a friends in Indy so didn't have to pay for hotel, so spent a little more on tix. Absolutely no regrets, great seats, great atmosphere.

Good fortune was smiling on us! Bought three together for $225 each from a member of the FOX production crew in a downtown hotel lobby at about noon. 25 yard line, row 20, club section. Only bad part was we were in the MSU section.
