Sweet 16. After where this team was a few weeks ago, not making the Sweet 16 wouldn't be a success in my mind.

And no, I don't care what the preseason expectations were.

I think we need 2 wins to really consider the season a success. I voted we get one as I think that would be enough to have "better than average" season. Honestly, depending on the matchup we get, I am nervous for even that.

Making the tournament is nice, but a first round loss would be tough to take and really would make the season feel like a disappointment.

Ugh, December and January sure were nice....

Why is 'None, the season is already a success' even an option?

After starting 10-1 through the toughest part od their schedule and then go 2-6? You kidding me?

Sweet 16 might get rid of the bad taste. But I think they probably need to win three.

I've heard three of the seniors say they have a great team.

Stop talking about it. PROVE IT.

I've heard how great the chemistry is on this team and how much they love each other.

Stop talking about it. PROVE IT.

They make the Elite 8, it's an incredible season, not just a successful one.

The rest, absolutely agree.

This team has the talent to win 2 or more but the coaching to go 1 and done, sad but true right now. FYI and I'm not calling for Fran's head, but he has some soul searching to do. My vote is for we win 1.

We won't win a single game. This season wasn't a success, either. It had a TON of promise and it was ****** down the drain just like two years ago. I've got $20 for any person who wants to bet against me. PM me and we can share Paypal information.

I know who one of the votes was for none...but who else?

i voted none before I read the full question, which I thought was asking for a prediction of how many games Iowa WOULD win in the NCAA tournament. In order to turn around what has been a train wreck of a last half of the season and to get me to change my mind that Fran needs to be told to move on, I would say three. Any fewer than that, I remain convinced:

Honestly I think this team actually played above their normal ability early in the season. Anthony Clemmons is not a good shooter. He shot a high percentage early on. Mike Gesell played better earlier in the year. Opposing teams didn't prepare for Uhl or Baer and they caught other teams by surprise.

Uhl is not a 50% 3 point shooter. Look at his shot. He's come back to reality. Other teams began to key on Uthoff and his percentages dropped. The problem is guys like Mike and Anthony can't make other teams pay for not guarding them on D.

So anyways... I won't hold it against Fran or the team that they got to a top 5 spot which is probably somewhere they never deserved and I'm going back to my preseason expectations... 1 win will satisfy me and enough to call the season a success in my opinion.

I don't get this mentality.... Where is this talent you speak of??? We have Uthoff and Jok, that's about all I can see for talent. None of our bench can really labeled as real talent at this point. I think Uhl and some other guys have shown some potential at times but they've also completely disappeared as well.

I don't get when people say things like this. Fran is who he is at this point. If we get lucky and win 3 games in a row, it doesn't change how good of a coach he is. Why would a 3 game stretch trump 6 full years?

if there is a "zero.the season was already a success", why is there no "win the whole ****in' thing" option? both statements are equally ridiculous.

You don't think having 2 players like Uthoff and Jok plus serviceable role players behind them, which Iowa does have and couple that with great coaching and game planning, that this Iowa team can't get to the Sweet 16? Really. I have no doubt they can.

What does your mentality say Iba that all good teams advance to sweet 16 or further has 5 Uthoff's and Joks on them?? Look at past NCAA Tournament and
and you will see that's simple not True!! I will stand by my comment IMO Iowa has the pieces to win 2 or more but the leadership and coaching to win 1 and be done. Just my take!

I'm picking none but Iowa has a chance since they are playing teams that haven't figured them out yet.

I screwed up this poll. Too many people read the title and didn't bother to read the rest of the question. I just thought it would make the title too big. My bad. Next time I'll spell it out.
